Photograph Your Boat
- Use high resolution (megapixel) setting for your camera
Important features can be lost in a low resolution image while a large image aids the understanding of a boat's detail and whether or not to depict a feature in the artwork.
- Use a front or rear quarter view
A quarter view adds depth and interest especially when used in a small card format. Side or end views can appear flat and lifeless.
- Fill the frame but don't crop it
Get as close as possible to the boat without cutting off any of the edges.
- Enlist a friend's help
Photos taken while under way make excellent Yachtcards - especially for sailboats
